In August 2005, the American city of New Orleans was hit by the powerful hurricane 'Katrina'. Although the storm itself was very destructive, it turned out not to be the real disaster. This took place when the flood protections, such as the dikes, proved to be unsustainable and flooded most of the city. Here the series of events is listed, in which the incompetence of various governments becomes painfully clear and how the (disadvantaged) poorer part of the population was and is being evicted.
