The Big Conn plot
Eric C. Conn took it a bit too much as a lawyer in Eastern Kentucky until two whistleblowers discovered he was facilitating government fraud of more than half a billion dollars, one of the largest frauds in American history. He was convicted in absentia for this in 2017. The best man had fled in the meantime but was arrested a few months later. The man is currently in the US prison where he is serving a 15-year prison sentence.
