Serengeti plot
The nature series Serengeti follows the lives of various inhabitants of the savannah. The dramatized documentary is based on the real everyday life of Africa's most fascinating animals. The lives intertwine, and thus take on a dramatic course. At the start of the series, there is a time of plenty in the Serengeti: there is more than enough food. But a series of unexpected events turn families against each other and relationships are strained. The world of some of the protagonists is suddenly turned upside down, causing emotions to run high. Male baboon Bakari, for example, is jealous because his beloved female is being taken over by the new, more aggressive leader of the group. The life of young hyena Zalika also changes dramatically when she loses her mother in a horrific attack by a pair of solitary male lions. Because of this, Zalika suddenly has to take over leadership of her family.
