What do the queens Letizia of Spain, Mathilde of Belgium and Máxima of the Netherlands actually do all day? Their country's constitutions do not grant official positions to the wives of the crowned heads of state, but they still play an important role. How do they use the leeway they have? They were followed for a year at home and abroad. During personal moments it appears that they see their position not only as a job, but also as a calling.
