The FIFA World Cup kicks off in Qatar on November 20. This championship has a dark side: Qatar has been awarded the tournament by buying a large number of votes. And 6,500 people died in the construction of the stadiums, according to research by The Guardian. This World Cup is a mistake that cannot be undone. In this series Danny Ghosen portrays the families of the deceased stadium builders in Nepal. Every day, coffins with deceased workers who sought refuge in one of the gulf states arrive at Kathmandu airport. Danny finds out how Nepalese people knowingly choose to work abroad under appalling conditions. And why they also went into debt for that job. With all the consequences for the next of kin. Despite everything, new workers arrive at the airport every day in search of a better life. In addition, Danny is investigating whether anyone from the Orange players or the KNVB feels responsible. Are they willing to do anything for the people who built the World Cup 22?
