George Carlin's American Dream plot

His hair had grown longer, he had grown his beard and suddenly subversive humor, social criticism and profanity came out of his mouth. At the end of the sixties, George Carlin (1937-2008) rigorously turned his back on his career as a salonfähige TV star. The New York stand-up comedian began to say what he really had on his mind and became a controversial exit sign for the counterculture. The story of his rise, fall and resurrection is graced with old interviews, his visits to talk shows and countless hard, sharp and funny fragments from his shows. In addition, colleagues such as Jerry Seinfeld, Chris Rock, Bette Midler, Kevin Smith, Patton Oswalt and Jon Stewart add luster to the story with personal memories, fine observations and precious anecdotes. Sadly, some fifteen years after his death, Carlin's blackened vision of America still stands.
