Folk America plot
We see the origin of American folk music. We see its origins in the 1920s when it became wildly popular through to the genre's revival in the 1960s. Contributions include Judy Collins, Steve Earle, Tom Paxton and Pete Seeger, relatives of 1920s greats. , such as Mississippi John Hurt, the Carter Family and Uncle Dave Macon, plus three current living artists of the era: guitarist Slim Bryant, banjoist Wade Mainer and Delta bluesman "Honeyboy" Edwards.
