A docuseries that tells the story of an ordinary group of friends in a small Danish village. Their lives were turned upside down by a series of violent crimes. For years, the community lived in fear, with the knowledge that the perpetrator was still at large. When a suspect was finally arrested, a new nightmare began for Amanda, Nichlas, and Kiri. During the trial, they discovered that their friend Philip Patrick Westh was the perpetrator. He participated in normal life and partied with them, but in the process, he committed assaults, kidnappings, and murder. The series asks the question: how could they have been unaware, and can you ever fully trust anyone again?
