In The Potato Eaters, Joris Vermeer sings the praises of adopted dishes that have become so commonplace that we know almost nothing about them anymore. We follow omnivore and former restaurateur Joris Vermeer as he searches for the origins of the dish. He searches for the original creators and embarks on one culinary adventure after another.
