Mia, Dylan, Ronan Farrow and Carly Simon appear in the series alongside witnesses, experts, prosecutors and investigators, some of whom are speaking for the first time. The series also features cultural experts reexamining Allen's work in light of the allegation.

In itself a good documentary with interesting new information regarding the allegations surrounding Allen. The problem, however, as has often been the case with documentaries from Netflix, HBOMAX, Hulu or Amazon lately, is the length. The time when documentaries had the running time of a feature film seem to be behind us more and more, so that you are left with an abundance of information that you as a viewer did not need or that certain aspects are spun out for a long time to fill up the length.

A pity and unnecessary, it just gives up points, so that it scores just a little unsatisfactory; although the core is good.

It can't be any other way than that Woody is guilty. The only other option is that Mia, out of jealousy and resentment, had Dylan rehearse and coach a story (and even deliberately videoed) and I don't really see anything to indicate that. Yeah, it's strange that she physically attacks Soon-Yi when she was the victim. And yes, it is strange that at the time of the abuse on August 4, 1992, everyone had been explicitly instructed not to leave (especially) Dylan alone with him and there were no less than three babysitters who did not got done. And it is also strange, no, actually bizarre, that Mia went to the (family?) doctor with Dylan, who couldn't get anything loose and then just said to come back the next day (so-called rape kits were in those days already common). And Mia's line of thinking that she only went to the doctor to see how Dylan was doing, and said she didn't realize for a second that that doctor would report the abuse to the authorities is somewhat questionable. But are those things enough to cast doubt on Woody's guilt?

The mini-series may not offer 100% certainty (by the way, I would have liked to see a much more extensive reconstruction of that August 4th, 1992, and there are more things like that, such as that public prosecutor that I have doubts about), but where I rather counted fifty-fifty, I'm now more like 98-2...

Thanks to evolver for the preview.
