The year 1968 caused landslides for America in politics, social movements and global relations. It also produced cultural icons that are unparalleled. Everything takes place against the background of the Vietnam War, the struggle for civil rights, major changes in social structures and the presidential elections. The biggest leading roles are played by Martin Luther King, Robert F. Kennedy and Richard Nixon, among others, but hippies, soldiers and students also contribute not insignificantly. Featuring never-before-seen material and recent interviews with journalists and historians telling their stories.
