A student dies in the picturesque town of Sowie Doły. The media across Poland is captivated by this mysterious and brutal execution. The investigation goes in many directions, but the case is not solved. Years later, another woman is murdered in the same town, in a way that resembles the unsolved murder of years ago. The investigation is now led by Commissioner Trela, who, in order to uncover the truth, must break the silence in which the mountain town has sunk for years.
