Wisting plot

The family Christmas is ruined when William Wisting faces the most challenging case of his career. A shocking discovery has terrified the locals of the small Norwegian town of Larvik: a wanted American serial killer turns out to be living among them. Meanwhile, Line's journalistic investigation into the death of her anonymous neighbor, Viggo, puts her on the straight and narrow of the serial killer. To make matters worse, Wisting is suspended on suspicion of embezzlement of evidence in a previous infamous murder case, leading to a wrongful conviction.

Oh well, the quality of Wisting is fairly consistent, also in this fifth season. The start is unfortunately a bit confusing. Fortunately, they have shown the flashbacks in a different format. The reason that Wisting walks with a crutch for almost the entire season, which I wonder what it adds, lies in the end of season 4. That is why it is useful to have seen the previous seasons to get an idea of the various characters and circumstances. The plot of this fifth season is not really exciting and it is always fun to see how they try to mislead the viewer about the perpetrator. There are some strange, even improbable scenes in it, for example the adventure in Lithuania.
