Témoins, Les plot

In northern France, the police encounter a horrific scene: corpses are displayed in macabre poses in a model home. Young, inexperienced detective Sandra Winckler leads the investigation. Among the brand new furniture and fake family photos, she discovers a photo of Paul Maisonneuve, a former police officer with a legendary track record. What's he got to do with the case? Winckler has no choice but to involve Maisonneuve in the case. The key to this puzzling case lies in the older cop's past, but the first clue Winckler finds only adds to the mystery.

Reviews & comments

Slightly less powerful than the first season, but still worth it. The main problem is the plot that gradually becomes more and more implausible. The series starts off very strong, with a pretty mysterious and sinister atmosphere, but about halfway through the season, the main character (the beautiful Marie Dompnier) makes a number of illogical decisions, after which it doesn't quite work out. Towards the end things go out a bit like a night candle. Too bad, because more people would have lived here.

Yes, indeed a rather sinister and sometimes occult atmosphere with the symbolism (which reminds me a bit of True Detective, but I don't want to create high expectations with that..).

Have the same pros and cons as with season 1: a promising start, beautiful locations and camera work, appealing characters, but every episode the story and the quest become a bit less strong and convincing. So have the same experience as ROOSKY. There is suddenly a revival when Geir comes into the picture and shoots the cops.) It's a shame because the rest is fine.
