Former city cop Hauke Jacobs wants to start over as a vet in the sleepy Baltic town of Schwanitz. Unfortunately, mysterious crimes thwart his plans again and again - much to the delight of the endearing policewoman Lona Vogt and the investigative veterinary assistant Jule Christiansen. Those two are only too happy to get out of the daily grind in the province.
