New Street Law plot
Young lawyer Jack Roper thanks for a well-paid job offered to him by his mentor, prominent prosecutor Laurence Sammell. Jack realizes that his decision will not only jeopardize his friendship with Laurence, but also his career. But he has his principles. He is determined to make it on his own, and not as a prosecutor but as a defense attorney. That seems to go well for him: Jack is getting more self-confidence every day. Over time, Laurence even begins to see his former protégé as a threat to his own standing in the legal world.
