Mocro Maffia plot
Romano and his men have had a successful cocaine trade in Amsterdam for years. However, when 'the Pope' starts working for himself after a quarrel, a major conflict arises between Romano and the Pope. Writer Rein de Waard and journalist Matthijs follow the situation closely. Both sides do everything they can to save their business, which leads to murders, conspiracies and betrayal. Things get even more out of hand when the Pope kills "Pencil"'s betrothed and baby.

This was a really great season. Constant tension, good acting and a strong story.
Season 2 was a bit of a disappointment compared to season 1. It set up a lot of subplots that lead nowhere in that season, so the question was whether all the brakes will be released this season? And yes, in this season all brakes are released.
The 1st episode is still fairly quiet, but from episode 2 there is a consistent line of tension. Highlights are episode 4 (yeee, Pencil, yeee) and the final episode (right, Joey?).
The series also knows how to create shock value at the right moments, at least it doesn't feel forced. Although, the last episode where Joey gets shot didn't really make sense. You see that a downie is locked up and you see two 'real' criminals tied up. Then you're not going to shoot the downie, are you? Seems to me then, but maybe I'm reasoning too logically in that situation. But that was the only moment that it felt a bit forced.
My only regret is that the episodes are relatively short. Some are only 37 minutes. Maybe it's because I'm used to American standards of one hour, but I like to see the episodes a little longer.
I thought this season was really excellent and it definitely surpasses season 1 and 2. Looking forward to season 4 already.

Was a great third season, overall even better than the previous 2 seasons and that is not always a sinecure. This is a series to enjoy, love such series, also think of a Fair Trade, Undercover

Mocro drama would have been a better title, because this first season is little more than a boring, uninteresting drama in which the characters are 'groaning' at each other all the time. There is some action, but not enough to keep the momentum going. It is also impossible to sympathize with these scum, which makes it difficult to empathize with the personal development of the characters. I wish they could all be put through the meat grinder in the first episode.
