Marie Brand plot
Inspector Marie Brand has been transferred rather involuntarily from the Cologne burglary and theft department to the homicide department. Always by her side, and often with two pistols in hand, is her colleague Jürgen Simmel. Simmel is known as a notorious womanizer and in spite of this - or precisely because of it - he always succeeds in making his relationships only last for a very short time. Still, the two make an excellent team: Brand with her great deductive skills and Simmel with his pragmatic, masculine demeanor.
