Maria Wern plot
Maria Wern is a Swedish crime series about the police inspector of the same name who, after the death of her husband, moves with her children to the picturesque Swedish island of Gotland to start over. She struggles to raise her children as a single mother, who is still mourning the death of her husband. Yet Maria manages to maintain her feminine perspective and approach to life in a male-dominated environment. Despite constantly encountering anger, death and destruction, she remains unyielding in a battle that often seems unwinnable.

In itself a great season 1 of this series, but a little slower in terms of progress and a little less exciting than the better-known Swedish crime series. A plus, in my opinion, is that the focus is more on crime than on the private affairs of those involved. Beautiful locations and good cast.
