Love & Death plot

Candy Montgomery and Betty Gore have a lot in common. They sing together in the Methodist church choir, their daughters are best friends, and their husbands have good jobs at technology companies in the northern suburbs of Dallas. But beneath the peaceful surface of their seemingly perfect lives, both women grapple with unspoken frustrations and unrequited desires. The euphoric existence comes to an end when an extramarital affair leads someone to pick up an axe.

Have you ever seen an episode of a crime series, 90s I think, on TV.

Because I could no longer remember what had happened in detail, I started following this series.

Better than Candy - Season 1 (2022) but still unnecessarily long, and why this had to be filmed twice in two years is a bigger mystery than what happened between Candy and Betty on June 13, 1980.

Great series, with wonderful old fantastic music; I'd watch it just for that. Olsen is fantastic and carries the entire series.

I think Plemons is a great actor, but in this role I didn't find him very convincing, and it's also hard to believe that in real life someone like Olsen would start an affair with him.

And then I thought the series was a few episodes too long.
