Reviews & comments

A little less than the first season unfortunately, mainly due to the sparse plot and the addition of certain crazy and especially far-fetched details, which sometimes literally fall from the sky. However, the acting is also of great class this time and in terms of atmosphere and design this is completely top. Compared to the first series, this season is extremely gory and violent, with a huge body count. At a certain point there is little room left for the subtle humor and hypothermic approach that made the first season so memorable. It's just a little too much.

Very strong second season with a good story, engaging characters and an incredible sense of detail. There is just a little more pace in the second season and the decoration and music are just that little bit better. It's also great that every shot looks beautiful. the makers flirt a bit with a UFO but do little else with it; almost casual and wonderfully alienating, just like the characters..

Yes, great season. Great atmosphere, structure, soundtrack and characters, especially the supporting roles such as Ted Danson and Jesse Plemons (had to check if it was really him..).

I got tired of the hassle with the split screens. At one point they came every other hour, sometimes three/four at a time or a shot that was a second ahead of the other shot. Kind of pointless and it took me out of the story. Also the shoot out at the motel was too much for me. Still a great second season.

PS often thought of Tarantino; the quotes/philosophies of Mike (a la Jules), the bad guys who run into even bigger bad guys, those splits etc.)
