Puzzle for the advanced, this Spanish film adaptation of the book The Innocent by Harlan Coben. It's all beautifully filmed and edited, but repeatedly the continuous flow of new characters and surprising twists and turns is a bit too much. Especially at episode three and four I almost gave up, everything started to get so unbelievable. Fortunately, after this temporary dip, the series gains strength and it still gets very exciting towards the end.

Quite intense. It's Spanish at its peak again.

I have often thought in the series that I was disappointed with a number of slightly too predictable things, too standard in crime. Just a little too much drama. But overall... well, it's quite strong. Is it unnecessarily complicated? No idea. But it is clear that you have to keep your head down. Lots of characters, lots of twists. Expanding on a character from the first person in each episode was really cool.

It is dark, sometimes with explicit violence, with some common threads that may be sensitive to some people. The mystery and crime content predominate for me. All in all, a good job from the screenwriter. And a rating rounded up.

The scene between Ortiz and Aguilar at the end of episode 7 I found pointless and the part of Colonel Prieto could have been explored a bit more. For the rest nothing to complain about. A very strong and well-constructed story that requires your full attention, partly because of the flashbacks but also because certain things are only revealed later in this series. Great cast. Quite exciting at times. Certain scenes are not suitable for young viewers; sometimes quite crude. Despite that, this series is a top one in my opinion.
