Donna Leon plot
Commissioner Brunetti is a man of integrity who is constantly confronted with Italy's flawed legal system. He graduated as a lawyer, but started working as a police officer at a young age. As a police officer with a legal background, Brunetti tends to look more at the legal side of crimes. Brunetti, like many Italians, is extremely devoted to his family and a real family man. He expects nothing from the Italian legal system, but continues to seek justice. If this is not done through official channels, he sometimes defines his own right.
