Do they manage to screw it up again at the end with a Delorme who shows up out of nowhere and saves Cardinal. Of course he (in the core) turns out to be innocent (I had already put my money on that), but that must be because he was once undercover and his secret phone call let him swing near his mentally ailing wife (he'd pay extra ten times wouldn't he?)... and that he should then supposedly protect her from the authorities (no one would think her guilty , at most Cardinal because of his cardinal error). No, extremely disappointing outcome.
And that's a pity, because as said before it was atmospheric, occasionally quite gruesome (director Daniel Grou also did that horror film before Les 7 Jours du Talion - recommended for the enthusiast) and the credibility was completely fine. The acting was also fine to excellent (supporting roles Allie MacDonald and Brendan Fletcher special worth mentioning), the (theme) opening (short but) beautiful, the settings to feast on and the story initially intriguing and promising.
I won't be too strict, but I won't be too lenient either: 2.5*.
PS: there are already three seasons of this...!
