About the same level as the first season. This season was once again enjoyable: nice main characters, a good structure and a beautiful setting. The series is mainly praised for the chemistry between Saga and Martin and that only got better this season. The relationship between these two characters is very realistic. They are colleagues, but want to be more than that. The complex characters of these characters make their bond always a bit unstable.

What I didn't like about this season is the fact that there were too many storylines. Most eventually came together, but not all. For example, there are a lot of characters that are given a lot of attention, but whose story arcs will probably never be completed. Think of the brother of Niklas and the relationship between Laura and her father (who, by the way, I had in my head completely unjustly all season as the main suspect).

Coming soon to the third season. I still wonder about this season why that ship again exactly between Sweden and Denmark stranded. Was that again very forced by the makers to bring the main characters together or did that story-wise also have a good reason?

All four seasons are good, but I consider this second season to be the highlight. Interesting about a police series is always when the detectives themselves have weaknesses. Martin finds it difficult to cope with the murder of his son and goes to visit the perpetrator in prison, a confrontation that can have positive or negative consequences. Saga has her known difficulties with social contacts and unwritten rules, but also youth problems come to light. The inept Rasmus causes trouble because he wants to play the hero on his own.

The criminals are using biological terrorism. They kill people by spreading a bacteria or a virus. Coincidentally, I watched this at the beginning of the corona quarantine, resulting in a mild paranoia. It is again a quest for the top of the pyramid, although the ultimate client is never revealed. Engaging characters are the precocious teenager Laura and the terminal Victoria, who comes across as vulnerable yet confident. For a long time you keep wondering who is in charge and who is being manipulated by whom. The final episode is a heartbreaking climax.

Another fantastic season of this outstanding series. Sofia Helin shines again as the detective (it's time that a female variant was also invented for this word) with Asperger's syndrome. The great thing about the plot is the intertwining of events and characters. Brilliantly put together. Few crime series can match this. Recommended!
