TreurTeeVee is set in an absurdistly designed metropolis, in which the four main characters struggle with themselves and society. There's Yolanda (strict but sexy), the chain-smoking psychotherapist who can't get her own life on track and gives remarkable advice. And Koenijn, a singing philosopher in a bunny suit. Sometimes a manic dictator, sometimes a spiritual leader. As a contemporary Messiah, he tries to inspire us. We also see Uusbief, the most bourgeois man in town. He is stalked by his perverted fantasies and is always in the wrong place at the wrong time. And last but certainly not least: Frederik Kaak, the vain television presenter, who in his hunger for fame passes over corpses with great flair.
