The unsuspecting Hans-Joachim Dorfman is sent to a fictitious, emerging, independent Balkan state, where ex-writer Katya Princip is president and wants her country to join (then) the European community. He has to deal with flailing European officials, conspirators and seductive women who must manipulate the naive hero.
