The Big C plot

Conservative and structured, teacher Cathy Jamison is the perfect suburban wife and mother. When she is told she has terminal cancer, she lets go and life becomes a challenge. It's time for a change and she starts evicting her immature husband Paul. Next, she wants to build a pool in her backyard so she can teach her son Adam her favorite dives from her childhood. In short, she wants to do everything she's always wanted to do. Cathy is tired of being "sensible" and wants to indulge in the silly and spontaneous things in life. For the first time, she makes choices that suit her needs.
