As said, Thekla Reuten is a lot of fun as a voluptuous Dutch teacher Tessa. Sexually dissolute and little more developed in terms of relationship formation than her students and children, she compensates for that with wit and infectious joie de vivre; a kind of female polder version of a Hank Moody who corrects your d's and t's. The series itself has the now well-known mix of drama and comedy, with each episode set up in such a way that farcical situations degenerate into moments of self-reflection and reflection. Too bad about the excess of plot lines that take place too suddenly or that are suddenly cut off. At the end of the eight episodes, it feels unsatisfactorily rounded, as if something is missing that could have taken a nice idea to a really higher level.
