Ten Minste Houdbaar Tot plot
Getting old together. It is a promise that is made at countless weddings, but also a promise that often proves difficult to realize in reality. You make compromises here and there, pass up career opportunities for the desire to have children, or simply meet someone else. In Anna's case, it's the transition that suddenly jeopardizes the promise. However, it turns out to be a drop in an overflowing bucket, because in reality the marriage with her husband Paul has been about too many compromises for some time. In recent years they didn't worry too much about that, because Anna had the children and Paul had his career. It sounds a bit conservative, but it seemed to be largely to the liking of both parties. Now, however, a whole new phase begins when their children are about to move out. Then Anna gets menopausal symptoms, and Paul gets a promotion opportunity at work. It's not exactly an ideal start to their 'new life', but Anna simply refuses to accept the changing reality. She wants to pick up her acting career and seeks peace in the spiritual. Yet she and Paul seem to grow further apart as a result.
