Swiebertje plot

The series is set in the small rural community of Ouder-Amstel and revolves around the tramp Swiebertje, who, in his own words, is both his first name and his last name. He is a bum who constantly gets into a fight with constable Bromsnort, often because of a misunderstanding in which he is falsely accused of something. In addition, he constantly courts Miss Saartje, the mayor's housekeeper.
