Still the King plot

Vernon Brownmule, aka "Burnin' Vernon", is a scandal-ridden, worn-out artist who has had one hit single and stepped out of the country music scene. Now, 20 years later, he's back as the second-best Elvis impersonator. After bumping into an old church sign while intoxicated, he is arrested and convicted. He is to work as a handyman for the church as a community service. Meanwhile, he poses as a congregation minister and reconnects with a former one-night stand when he learns she has a 15-year-old daughter he never knew.
