Steptoe and Son plot

Steptoe and Son revolves around the conflict between father and son Steptoe. Albert Steptoe is a rag-and-bone dealer, a rag and bone dealer who has rather grubby manners. In contrast, his 40-year-old son Harold has more social aspirations and pretensions. Harold is therefore constantly hindered in achieving his ambitions by his own father.
