Mad about Alice plot

Doug and Alice have a son together, Joe, but after years of marriage, they have decided to separate. However, they have agreed to part as good friends in order to take care of Joe as best as possible. It soon becomes clear that this is easier said than done. The two constantly get into quarrels when they see each other and there are the necessary tensions under the skin. When it turns out that Doug has found a new girlfriend, things only get more complicated.
