Living Single plot

We follow 6 African American friends who live in Brooklyn. Khadijah James, editor-in-chief of an urban monthly magazine Flavor shares an apartment with her friendly but naive cousin Synclaire. The latter wants to become an actress but, while waiting to break through, works as a receptionist for Khadijah. Regine Hunter loves gossip and wigs. Maxine Shaw is a formidable lawyer as well as Kadijah's best friend. Above them live Overton Wakefield Jones and Kyle Barker. Kyle is a stockbroker whose constant verbal battles with Max do little to hide their obvious sexual attraction. Overton is the friendly concierge for the apartment complexes, who is very attracted to Synclaire.
