Kees Flodder plot

Kees Flodder Junior inherits a villa in the chic Eyckendael district, an adjacent neighborhood to Zonnedael. She moves there with her family, including her cousins Donnie and Paultje, her cousin Priscilla, and Grandma Flodder. Their arrival soon causes unrest in the otherwise quiet and respectable neighborhood. The situation becomes more complicated when neighbor JP tries to bully the family out of the neighborhood. Together with neighbor Charlotte, he makes several attempts to get rid of the Flodders. This leads to conflicts between the family and their wealthy neighbors. Kees Junior tries to keep the peace, but the situation escalates further when her mother Kees unexpectedly shows up on the doorstep.

Na alle negatieve berichten ben ik toch aan de serie begonnen, zonder er veel van te verwachten. Eerlijk gezegd vond ik de eerste drie afleveringen helemaal niet slecht. Natuurlijk is de opbouw anders, maar ook weer niet zó anders. Je moet de personages eerst leren kennen en eraan wennen dat het om een andere familie gaat. Ik zag juist veel herkenbare elementen en gelijkenissen die prima verwerkt zijn. Ik denk dat je deze serie niet één op één moet vergelijken met de oude serie, maar die meer in je achterhoofd moet houden. Daarnaast moet een serie ook de kans krijgen om zich te ontwikkelen; acteurs moeten in hun rol groeien. Na alle kritiek had ik het eerlijk gezegd veel erger verwacht, maar het viel me alles mee en ik kijk met plezier naar de nieuwe afleveringen. Ja, het is anders dan de film, maar dat was de oorspronkelijke serie uiteindelijk ook. Bepaalde types zijn duidelijk herkenbaar en de sfeer voelt nog steeds in dezelfde stijl aan.

Despite all the negative reviews, I started watching the series anyway, without expecting much from it. To be honest, I didn't think the first three episodes were bad at all. Of course, the structure is different, but not *that* different. You have to get to know the characters first and get used to the fact that it involves a different family.

I actually saw many recognizable elements and similarities that were incorporated very well. I think you shouldn't compare this series one-to-one with the old one, but rather keep that one more in the back of your mind. Additionally, a series needs to be given the chance to develop; actors need to grow into their roles.

After all the criticism, I honestly expected it to be much worse, but it turned out much better than I expected and I enjoy watching the new episodes. Yes, it is different from the movie, but ultimately, so was the original series. Certain characters are clearly recognizable and the atmosphere still feels like it's in the same style.

Deze serie heeft mijns inziens niets maar dan ook niets te maken met Flodder dan wel Kees Flodder. Het komt bij mij over als RTL/Videoland die het IP en de rechten op de originele- beelden en het geluid heeft. En er een afgeraffelde niet realistische zooi van heeft gemaakt in een vers jasje. Maar dan wel een vers jasje van een erg stinkende rotte vis. De subtiele authentieke Flodder humor is er niet meer. De goede chemie van de familie en het rollenspel onderling (toentertijd) hier niet gezien. Dat bekende leuke kat en muis spel tussen de Flodders en de kakkers is nu onbekend en wat er nu op beeld staat is overbodig en geforceerd. De Flodders die overal mot trappen maar er toch sneaky en met humor vanaf komen? Dat is nu overacting tot het bot met vreselijke art effects. Bijvoorbeeld die kluns in dat golf karretje. Wie heeft dat verzonnen!? Ik weet niet wat er tijdens het productieproces is gebeurd? Ik heb wat oude beelden gezien en oude herkenbare 'stukjes' opnieuw gespeelde scenes die heel slecht met afgeraffelde nieuwe kwats aan elkaar zijn gemonteerd. De moeite om deze serie op te starten in de APP vind ik het niet eens waard. Ik kan hem enkel afraden. Deze hele productie slaat naar mijn mening helemaal nergens op.

That famous, fun cat-and-mouse game between the Flodders and the snobs is now unknown, and what is on screen now is superfluous and forced. The Flodders picking fights everywhere but still getting away with it sneakily and with humor? That is now overacting to the bone with terrible art effects. For example, that klutz in the golf cart. Who came up with that!?

I don't know what happened during the production process? I saw some old footage and old, recognizable 'bits' of re-enacted scenes that were very poorly edited together with rushed new nonsense.

I don't even think it's worth the effort to start this series in the app. I can only advise against it. In my opinion, this entire production makes absolutely no sense.
