Gimme a Break! plot
Carl Kanisky is a police chief in Glenlawn, California. After the death of his wife Margaret, he asks her good friend Nell Harper to live with him. In this way he can continue to work and there is also someone at home to take care of the children and the household. However, this creates some difficult situations.
