Third and final season of the hit British TV series Bottom. While this third season has less good episodes than the brilliant second season, it does contain two classics that are arguably the best episodes of the series. It concerns the episode Hole, in which Ritchie and Eddie are stuck in a Ferris wheel, and the Carnival episode, which takes place during Carnival. Both episodes are brilliant and unfortunately the other four episodes are of a lesser quality. The episode Terror where it's Halloween, Break where Ritchie and Eddie go on vacation and Finger where Ritchie and Eddie pose as a married couple to get a free hotel stay are a bit on the bland side. The episode Dough in which Eddie aspires to a new career as a counterfeiter is excellent again.

However, the inconsistency of the episodes makes this season less brilliant than the second season, but nevertheless highly enjoyable. There were plans for a fourth season, but the BBC decided to cancel the series after 3 seasons. After this, four more theater shows appeared between 1995 and 2003. In 2012, an attempt was made to get a fourth season off the ground, but actor Adrian Edmondson was no longer interested in this. This ultimately put a dent in the good relationship between Mayall and Edmondson, who have since stopped working together. Rik Mayall eventually died of a heart attack in 2014.
