1670 plot
The year is 1670. Jan, head of a noble family and owner of the (smaller) half of the village of Adamczycha, dreams of immortalizing himself in the history books of Poland, the most powerful country in the world. The successes in his life make him think he is on the right track. Ultimately, he inherited everything he had, and achieved the rest through the hard work of his own farmers. However, his ambitious plans are disrupted by the troublesome landowner. Furthermore, the Noble Republic is just now declining. But Jan's progressive thinking will allow him to get out of any situation and achieve eternal glory.

It seems as though Netflix has thrown just a little more money at it. The second season of '1670' (2025) features larger sets, more diverse locations (from an all-inclusive resort in Turkey to visits to major cities like Kraków), and extras or moving props everywhere. Even more song and dance interludes. Even more characters trying to seize power over Adamczycha. Even supernatural elements full of witchcraft, forest nymphs, and exorcisms. And all this while '1670' (2025), amidst the playful mischief, leaves room for sincere and touching moments when characters realize they are being held back by their class, gender, or forbidden desires.
