It took a while before I was convinced, but what a wonderful animated series. The humor is even more absurd than Simpsons, South Park and Family Guy, for example. At the beginning I was a bit annoyed by the voices of the two main characters, but in the end that is perhaps the funniest thing about the whole series. Morty who is always in a panic and Rick who knows how to burp between every sentence. Story-wise, it's genius to see how quickly an episode can escalate into something absurd. What Donkerwoud already said: Abradolf Lincler is an example of a very well-developed idea. On to season 2!

Pf I had to get in there. The first episodes I only watched the really dead moments. Very loud: the characters, voices and the execution. But about after episode 7 it got better (and/or I got used to it). Absurd, gross, violent and funny, certainly also the names and sayings that fly by like crazy.

It's kind of an unstructured form of Futurama on steroids. I especially like Rixty Minutes (the alien series and commercials ), Something Ricked and Close Rick-counters. Although it is not as sharp (ie society mockery) as The Simpsons and South Park, it is an enrichment in other areas. Glad I persevered after those first episodes (although it is a very high average).

Totally crazy most of the time, but very amusing and quite innovative. For me the best animated series after The Simpsons. With many episodes that are etched in the memory. Only for enthusiasts, but those enthusiasts have a series that they can close to their hearts.
