Hai to Gensô no Grimgar plot

Why are we here? Why are we doing this? Before Haruhiro realized what was happening, he was surrounded by darkness. Why was he here? Where was here? Even now he still didn't know. The people around him were just like him, no one remembered anything but their own names. And as they stepped out of the darkness, the world that awaited them resembled a video game. To survive, Haruhiro forms a group with five others. He learns to fight and takes his first steps in the world of Grimgar as a soldier in the reservist army. He doesn't know what awaits him there. Leuke premisse en veelbelovend, maar aan het eind van het seizoen heb je het gevoel dat je nog in de introductie van alles zit. Omdat dit seizoen uit 2016 stamt en een 2e nooit ia aangekondigd ben ik ook bang dat het hierbij blijft. Japanners kunnen altijd nog de manga gaan lezen om te zien hoe het verder gaat, maar dat zit er voor mij niet in. 3.5*

Nice premise and promising, but at the end of the season you feel like you're still in the introduction of everything. Because this season dates from 2016 and a second was never announced, I'm also afraid that it will stay here. The Japanese can always read the manga to see what happens next, but that's not an option for me. 3.5*
