genius! I have really enjoyed the season. I did watch a recap of the previous season, so I was immediately into it. If I read the other comments, it might be a must. I was immediately into it and that made me think it was a huge success.

For me, BoJack Horseman remains the animated series that surpasses classic cars (The Simpsons, South Park) in that it has a much better sense of how to do satire in this era. Not hollow provocation or absurd arbitrariness, but the soft and palpable dysfunctionality of characters in search of themselves. Whether it's Diane looking for her Vietnamese roots or Todd's doubts about his asexuality, or Mister Peanutbutter reflecting on why his love relationships keep falling apart. The best episodes are 'The Emalia Earheart Story' and 'Free Churro' in which Princess Carolyn looks for an adopted child and BoJack carries his mother to the grave. From that harrowing, deeply human pain where hilarity and tragedy are close together, while not all disturbed relationships are resolved. This is without a doubt also the season of Gina Cazador as the Hollywood actress who is making good progress, but is battling institutional sexism in how she has to push her own limits. Her story is cleverly interwoven with BoJack's lingering guilt over the consequences of his hedonistic lifestyle.
(A small blemish on an otherwise great season: The jokes about a sex robot and internet company 'What Time Is It Right Now' are really a bit too bland.)
