A young orphan, Lyra (Dafne Keen) is destined to liberate her world from the grip of the Magisterium which represses people's ties to magic and their animal spirits known as daemons. She eventually meets Will (Amir Wilson) as the pair unravel a sinister plot involving kidnapped children.

Excellent third and final series based on the books by Philip Pullman, which concludes the fantasy series in a spectacular and satisfying way. The characters are further developed and the emotional level is turned up a notch. Fortunately, James McAvoy, largely absent from the second season, has a prominent role here again. The last four episodes in particular are very strong, with the absolute highlight being episode seven, which is also very gripping in addition to being particularly spectacular. Well done.

How I enjoyed this beautiful fantasy series. Great acting from Dafne Keen(lyra) and the rest of the cast. Fascinating and original story. I'm not going to say too much about it, but I definitely recommend this if you like fantasy. I don't know which series should be in my top 5, but this one certainly qualifies. Hope for a sequel someday.
