Barbarians plot
Barbarians is set in the year 9 AD, during the Roman Imperial campaign of Germania. Three Roman legions and their auxiliaries are led by Publius Quinctilius Varus, while Arminius, a Germanic chieftain trained in Roman military tactics, unites the Germanic tribes against their southern invaders. The three cooperating Germanic tribes try to fend off the advancing Roman army by ambushing them. Later known as the famous Battle of the Teutoburg Forest.

I have never been bored with this series. Too bad there are only 6 episodes per season. Excellent acting, good story and thusnelda (Jeanna Goursaud) is of course pleasant to watch. If you like Vikings, then you will definitely like this one. Maybe a little less but definitely worth it.

I couldn't remember season 1 very well, but I think it was more or less on the same level. Maybe a little less action in this second season, I'm not sure. Anyway, without any problems.

Bad second season. I thought the first one was particularly good, but in this sequel I couldn't care less about it. It looks too cheap to be compelling this time around, and the historical accuracy hit an all-time low when a black Germanic appeared on the scene.
