The Woman in the Wall plot
Ireland, 2015. When Lorna Brady wakes up to find a dead body in her home, she has no idea who the dead woman is or whether she is responsible for the apparent murder. Retracing her steps, Lorna realizes that the mystery woman could be connected to her past. She may just have the answer to the question Lorna has longed for: what happened to her child? Fearing her sleepwalking escapades, Lorna tries to keep herself awake as she searches for the truth. Meanwhile, in Dublin, Detective Colman Akande is confronted with the murder of a local priest. Investigating the case takes him across the country and eventually into Lorna's path.

An excellent miniseries with a wonderful role by Ruth Wilson. The basis of this series is an impressive story, based on the Magdalene Laundries. There are also fictional and mysterious elements. In that respect, drama, crime, thriller and not to mention realistic and current elements come together here. Besides Wilson, the rest of the cast also performs well. There are a few minor mistakes in the execution and perhaps too many flashbacks, but these are lost in the very fitting filmed whole. The environment also matches the story perfectly. Recommended!
