The Midnight Club plot
A group of terminally ill teenage patients reside at the Brightcliffe Hospice, a mansion with a mysterious history. Together they form the Midnight Club. They meet in secret at midnight to tell horror stories and to look for signs of the supernatural from outside. Together, the group forms a pact that whoever dies first will make the effort to connect with the rest of the Midnight Club members from beyond the grave.

After the excellent The Haunting Of Hill House, The Haunting Of Bly Manor and Midnight Mass, this fourth series from director/producer Mike Flanagan is a bit disappointing. It's all a bit tame and in tone more drama than horror. The youthful characters and their misadventures are also not really interesting. Fortunately, things are somewhat saved by the scary stories that the main characters secretly tell each other at night and in which we see many familiar faces from the previous three series. Nice, all in all, but this doesn't taste like more.
