Shetland plot
We meet Jimmy Perez, a local police inspector. He is a real Shetlander who has lived elsewhere for years but at some point returned to his homeland, together with his fourteen-year-old daughter Cassie. Perez is someone who never says too much, but who radiates natural authority: a combination of qualities that comes in handy when solving crimes.

With many varying opportunities in the search for perpetrator and motives.
Pretty entertaining series and yet I feel like I'm missing something, a certain empathy or acceptance of characters, including the main character...
Maybe because this 6th season is only the first I see.

I've watched 10 seasons. The start was difficult. Fortunately, it got better and better; I felt it only really hit its stride in season 3. It takes some getting used to the characters, as a few are portrayed a bit too simply. The plots are well-constructed, all with the same style: everyone who appears is a potential perpetrator. At some point, you see through that. Great cast, beautiful setting. Season 11 comes out in November of this year.
