Matthijs van Nieuwkerk and Rob Kemps introduce the viewer to the music of Édith Piaf, Jacques Brel, Serge Gainsbourg and Charles Aznavour in this musical four-part about love, life and melancholy. CHANSONS! season 1

Hardly gets past the clichés about Paris and chansons and, moreover, seems a bit hastily put together.
Mainly depends on the sympathetic presenters and the allure of the people portrayed.
