The Lone Gunmen plot
The story revolves around the three hacker friends Melvin Frohike, John Fitzgerald Byers and Richard Langly. These wacky geeks are a firm believer in every conspiracy theory they come across. The trio call themselves The Lone Gunmen and they also publish their own newspaper under this name. Various conspiracies (such as the existence of aliens, the murder of JFK or brainwashing by the Teletubbies) are exposed. During their investigations, the Lone Gunmen keep getting involved in all sorts of strange things. They are assisted by: the young, idealistic Jimmy Bond and the mysterious Yves Adele Harlow.

I liked this very much. They thought it was a bit too necessary to add "beautiful" people, but I thought the best character was the somewhat naive Byers. Charisma? They may have the charisma of my poopertje, these are anti-heroes. It's a real shame it was canceled so quickly. Apparently it's better to have a nice-people series like X-files for good ratings. Mulder and Scully also had the charisma of a fluorescent tube.
My favorite episode was the one with the monkey!
