Tom Egbers travels through England. It is the country where his mother was born, where he went on vacation every summer vacation and which he loves. Like so many others, Tom was also surprised by Brexit. How far does England differ from the country of his youth? And does he actually know the England of today? To discover this, Tom makes portraits of the special, sometimes stubborn and always polite inhabitants, and he gets to know his mother's country again. Along the way through the beautiful landscape, Tom shows where his love for the country comes from - nourished by his family history and memories - but above all Tom is surprised by new encounters and experiences.
